Golden Triangle and Ranthambore
Amazing holiday . Perfect organisation . Every aspect of the trip i couldnt fault . The guide Vishnu was a lovely genuine man who had a passion for his country and knew all the information on every temple we visited . A trip i ll never forget and as a solo, one that has inspired me to go on more . Distant journeys was brilliant from first phone call of enquiry to last goodbye at the airport.
Temples and Tigers
First time using Distant Journeys and I have to say it was a triumph. India is a big country so it involves a lot of travelling if you want to see it, but here we had wonderful hotels waiting for us with every new location. From monkeys trying to break into our room at Shimla to watching Weaver birds making their nests whilst swimming in Ranthambore. Any escorted holiday depends heavily on the tour guide allocated and our guide VP was as good as it gets. So we saw a Bollywood movie in an art Deco cinema, slept on a houseboat, visited a spice village and an Indian Honey producer and saw a real local martial arts show as well as experiencing the Ganesh festival in an Indians house so very special to see the real India. Obviously saw (finally) the Taj Mahal that was actually topped by the Golden Temple at Amritsar. Met some great people who are now friends so a 5* experience all the way.
Grand Tour of India
Excellent info with app ( before the holiday). Always very helpful.
Golden Triangle and Ranthambore
Distant Journeys excelled when we were stranded in India following the outbreak of conflict in the middle east. Their, commitment, organisation and communications were first class and they got everyone home safely. On top of that the holidays we have had with Distant Journeys have been fantastic.
Brahmaputra River and Darjeeling
They are a fantastic company and will definitely travel with them again 200/100. Excellent
A Journey Through India
We had an outstanding 26 days in India. We were very well looked after and our guides were both extremely knowledgeable. Outstanding value. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was the lack of free time. We had underestimated the vast distances and would have appreciated a little more time to shop and relax. It was a grand tour and not a holiday.I would not hesitate to recommend this company and tour to anyone looking for a great visit to India.
Grand Tour of India
Brilliant response to the disruption caused by the Iran warExcellent holidays with you in New Zealand and Southern India
Very Best of Southern India
Brilliant tour, excellent staff on the boat.
Brahmaputra River and Darjeeling
Able to immediately give me a price to fly business class from Manchester. Excellent communication from them during the problems in the middle east and we were extremely well looked after when we couldn't return on our booked flights. Would travel wity them again without hesitation and would thoroughly recommend them.
