About the Sweetwaters Serena Camp
Located within Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Serena Camp combines the character of a traditional tented safari camp with a setting that places wildlife at the heart of a stay. Mount Kenya rises in the distance, while an active waterhole attracts animals throughout the day, offering excellent viewing without guests having to leave the grounds.
Your Stay
Set beneath wide-canopied acacia trees within landscaped grounds, the camp’s canvas tents feature thatched roofs and solid floors, combining traditional safari character with modern comforts. Each has an ensuite bathroom and a private veranda or raised balcony overlooking the conservancy, providing a peaceful place to take in the surrounding scenery. Room amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Between game drives, guests can cool off in the heated outdoor swimming pool or spend time in the recreational area. The camp’s setting within Ol Pejeta Conservancy means the sights and sounds of the Kenyan wilderness are always close at hand.
Dining Options
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Rhino Dining Room, once the ranch manager’s home and now a welcoming dining space overlooking the waterhole through floor-to-ceiling windows. Menus combine international dishes with local flavours, including a buffet breakfast each morning. The Water Hole Bar is one of the camp’s most distinctive spots, offering views directly across the active waterhole. Settle in with a cocktail, glass of wine or local beer and watch as elephants, buffalo and other wildlife come and go.
