About the Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge
Set on the edge of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge enjoys a secluded position amongst Tasmania’s alpine wilderness, surrounded by ancient forest and native bushland.
Your Stay
Located within natural surroundings, the lodge is made up of timber cabins scattered amongst the bushland, connected to the main lodge by trails and boardwalks. The grounds are also frequented by some of Tasmania’s native wildlife, with wallabies, wombats and possums among the animals that can be spotted around the property.
Cabins have a warm contemporary alpine feel, each featuring a queen-size bed, alongside comfortable seating. In-room amenities include a Nespresso machine, kettle, refrigerator, Bluetooth speaker, hairdryer and private bathroom with shower.
The Waldheim Alpine Spa offers a range of treatments, while its private Sanctuary features a steam room, sauna, hot tub, cool plunge pool and relaxation lounge, set beside the Pencil Pine River and surrounded by towering King Billy pines.
Dining Options
Breakfast is served at Highland Restaurant, where the lodge places a strong emphasis on Tasmanian food and produce. The restaurant also opens for dinner, with a menu showcasing ingredients from across the island. For something more informal, the rustic Tavern Bar & Bistro serves lunch and dinner in a relaxed setting with a selection of craft beers and cocktails.
